Tree Planting

The Cemetery Committee has ordered small trees for free from the Forestry Trust to plant as a hedge in Llangernyw Cemetery.

These are to give colour all year round near the right side fence down to the bottom.

Councilors Sarah Thomas and her daughter, Euros Williams, Mark Roberts and Ann Vaughan, also Mary Hindley from the Paned a Sgwrs crew planted them on Saturday morning March 2nd.

Thank you very much for your work and giving of your time to plant them. We look forward to seeing them in leaf soon.

In addition, Kevin Roberts on behalf of the Council has been busy tidying up the paths, cutting tree branches and creating a new compost site in the lower corner of the cemetery.

Because this has been cleared remember that only straw and flowers should be put in it. Wreaths and plastic are put in the black bin. Thank you for your cooperation.

This project is part funded through the Rural Development Plan which is financed by the EU and Welsh Government.
